Camp for Cerebral Palsy Children at Kavre

CP Clinic conducted a Comprehensive Screening Camp for Cerebral Palsy and other Neurological Disorders related disabilities among children. The main objective of the camp was to identify the cases of Cerebral Palsy in the area and raise awareness about Cerebral Palsy. The event took place on December 9th, 2023 at Shree Parbati Sec. School, Dhunkharkha, Bethanchok Gaupalika. The camp was conducted jointly with the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square, Rotary Club of Kathmandu Mid Town, Rotaract Club of Patan Durbar Square, Rotaract Club of Kathmandu Mid Town, and Karunamaya Foundation Nepal.

Dr. Pragya Karmacharya Rajbhandari, CEO of CP Clinic, and Dr. Chandra Lekha Tuladhar, along with the team from Cerebral Palsy Clinic and Care Center, led a program to help 20 children with Cerebral Palsy and other neurological disorders. The program included medical guidance, seizure management, physiotherapy, and speech therapy sessions provided by a team of experts, including Neuro-Pediatricians, physiotherapists, and speech therapists from the clinic. They played a vital role in supporting these children.

Dr. Bernhard Schmitt, a Neuro-Pediatrician and Epilepsyologist from Switzerland, gave a special talk about Cerebral Palsy to help families with affected children better understand the challenges they face.

At the same time, talk programs on Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer for more than 100 local women’s groups were organized to share valuable information and insights about Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness.
